The incorrect 1st meaning of تكلمهم reading as تُكَلِّمُهُمْ, produces a single speaking beast. Whereas the correct 2nd meaning of تكلمهم reading as تَكْلِّمُهُمْ, produces a single marking beast.
وَإِذَا وَقَعَ الْقَوْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ أَخْرَجْنَا لَهُمْ دَابَّةً مِّنَ الْأَرْضِ تَكْلِّمُهُمْ إنَّ النَّاسَ كَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا لَا يُوقِنُونَ
